Jigs and Fixtures

Custom Workholding

Jigs and Fixtures Manufacturer in Pune

VR Automation designs and manufactures custom jigs and fixtures for machining, assembly, welding and inspection — engineered around your component drawing and datum scheme.

A jig guides the tool; a fixture holds and locates the work. Both exist to remove the variable that causes most dimensional scatter in batch production: the operator setting the part up by eye.

Machine Features & Types

Accurate Location

Locating scheme taken from your drawing datums so the part repeats piece to piece.

Reduced Setup Time

Load, clamp, machine, unload — no marking out, no dial indicator setup per piece.

Rigid Clamping

Clamping arranged to resist cutting or assembly forces without distorting the component.

Poka-Yoke

Physical features that make wrong-way loading impossible.

Machining & Assembly

Drill jigs, milling fixtures, assembly fixtures and inspection fixtures from one supplier.

Volume Ready

Designed for the production volume and operator ergonomics you actually have.

Why Buy From VR Automation

Built to Your Drawing

Tooling and component fixture are engineered around your part, so the machine arrives ready to run rather than needing development on your floor.

Repeatable Output

Force, stroke and cycle are set by the machine, so joint quality stops depending on operator strength or fatigue late in a shift.

Made in India

Locally engineered and locally supported, priced against Indian production cost rather than import landed cost.

Installation & Service

Commissioning, operator training, spares and service support across India, since 2019.

Designed, machined, assembled and tested in-house at our Bhosari, Pune facility. You deal with the engineers who build the machine, not a trading intermediary — which keeps lead times short and spares available for the working life of the machine.

Price & Quotation

Price depends on force, capacity, tooling, automation level and the component fixture, so a catalogue figure would be misleading. We quote against your actual part.

To receive a quotation, send us:

  1. Component drawing or sample details
  2. Material, thickness and joint or feature positions
  3. Target cycle time and production volume per shift
  4. Whether you need standalone, semi-automatic or fully inline operation

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a jig and a fixture?

A jig guides the cutting tool as well as holding the work — a drill jig with bushes, for example. A fixture holds and locates the work but does not guide the tool; the tool path comes from the machine.

Why use jigs and fixtures instead of manual setup?

Manual setup varies with the operator and takes time on every piece. A jig or fixture makes location repeatable, cuts setup to a load-and-clamp, and removes most of the dimensional scatter in batch production.

Do you design fixtures from our component drawing?

Yes. We work from your drawing and datum scheme, and confirm the locating and clamping concept with you before manufacture.

Can you build inspection and checking fixtures?

Yes. Inspection fixtures hold the component in its design datums so features can be checked quickly on the shop floor instead of queuing for a CMM.

What do you need to quote a fixture?

Component drawing with datums, the operation to be performed, machine or station it mounts to, production volume and cycle time.
