Drill Gauges & Inspection Fixtures
Drill Gauges & Inspection Fixtures Manufacturer
VR Automation manufactures drill gauges, inspection fixtures and relation gauges for fast, repeatable dimensional checking at the point of manufacture.
Relation gauges check the relationship between features — hole-to-hole, hole-to-edge, profile-to-datum. That relationship is usually what actually matters for assembly, and it is exactly what a single-feature measurement misses.

Machine Features & Types
Relation Gauging
Checks feature-to-feature relationships rather than isolated dimensions.
Shop Floor Speed
Go / no-go checks in seconds, without queueing parts for a CMM.
Design Datum Scheme
The component is held in its design datums, so the check reflects how the part is actually used.
Go / No-Go Clarity
An unambiguous pass or fail that does not depend on operator interpretation.
Hardened Contact Points
Wear-resistant locators and pins so the gauge stays in calibration.
Calibration Ready
Built so the gauge itself can be checked and certified on a schedule.
Our Drill Gauges & Inspection Fixtures Range
1 product in this category. Prices are indicative and ex-works — tooling and component fixture are quoted against your part.

Industries We Serve
Automotive Components
In-process and end-of-line checks on volume machined parts.
Machining & Job Work
First-off and in-process verification without CMM queue time.
Sheet Metal
Hole pattern and profile verification on pressed parts.
Fabrication
Weldment geometry and hole position checking.
Electrical Hardware
Mounting hole pattern verification.
General Engineering
Any repeat component with a critical feature relationship.
Applications & Components
Tooling and fixture are engineered per component. These are the applications we are asked for most often:
Why Buy From VR Automation
Built to Your Drawing
Tooling and component fixture are engineered around your part, so the machine arrives ready to run rather than needing development on your floor.
Repeatable Output
Force, stroke and cycle are set by the machine, so joint quality stops depending on operator strength or fatigue late in a shift.
Made in India
Locally engineered and locally supported, priced against Indian production cost rather than import landed cost.
Installation & Service
Commissioning, operator training, spares and service support across India, since 2019.
Designed, machined, assembled and tested in-house at our Bhosari, Pune facility. You deal with the engineers who build the machine, not a trading intermediary — which keeps lead times short and spares available for the working life of the machine.
Price & Quotation
Price depends on force, capacity, tooling, automation level and the component fixture, so a catalogue figure would be misleading. We quote against your actual part.
To receive a quotation, send us:
- Component drawing or sample details
- Material, thickness and joint or feature positions
- Target cycle time and production volume per shift
- Whether you need standalone, semi-automatic or fully inline operation
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a relation gauge?
A gauge that checks the relationship between two or more features — hole to hole, hole to edge, profile to datum — rather than measuring each feature in isolation.
Why use an inspection fixture instead of a CMM?
A CMM is accurate but slow and queued. An inspection fixture gives a go / no-go answer in seconds at the machine, so a drifting process is caught immediately rather than at the end of the batch.
Do you build gauges to our drawing?
Yes. Gauges are built to your component drawing and datum scheme, with the checked features and tolerances agreed before manufacture.
Can the gauge be calibrated?
Yes. Gauges are designed so they can themselves be verified and certified on your calibration schedule.
What do you need to quote a gauge?
Component drawing with datums and the features to be checked, tolerances, expected check frequency and whether you need attribute or variable results.
