Press Machines
Press Machine Manufacturer in India
VR Automation manufactures pneumatic press machines and hydro-pneumatic presses for press-fitting, staking, forming, marking and assembly work.
A hydro-pneumatic press uses an air-over-oil intensifier to turn shop air pressure into much higher force at the ram — press-level force without installing, powering and maintaining a full hydraulic system.

Machine Features & Types
Pneumatic Presses
Fast cycling, low running cost and simple maintenance for press-fitting, staking and light forming.
Hydro-Pneumatic Presses
Air-over-oil intensification delivers high force with a fast approach stroke on air and the working stroke on oil.
Controlled Force
Repeatable force per stroke, so press-fit depth and stake quality stop varying between operators.
C-Frame & Portal
Open C-frame for access, portal frame for stiffness under high load and symmetrical deflection.
Two-Hand Safety
Two-hand or foot operation with guarding arranged for the part and the operator.
Line Integration
Standalone bench presses or integrated into a semi-automatic assembly cell.

Industries We Serve
Automotive Assembly
Bearing, bush and dowel press-fitting on component lines.
General Engineering
Staking, forming and coining on fabricated and machined parts.
Electrical
Terminal and insert pressing in switchgear and panel assembly.
Appliance Manufacturing
Assembly pressing with controlled force on light assemblies.
Sheet Metal
Light forming, embossing and marking operations.

Insert and standoff pressing into housings.
Applications & Components
Tooling and fixture are engineered per component. These are the applications we are asked for most often:
Why Buy From VR Automation
Built to Your Drawing
Tooling and component fixture are engineered around your part, so the machine arrives ready to run rather than needing development on your floor.
Repeatable Output
Force, stroke and cycle are set by the machine, so joint quality stops depending on operator strength or fatigue late in a shift.
Made in India
Locally engineered and locally supported, priced against Indian production cost rather than import landed cost.
Installation & Service
Commissioning, operator training, spares and service support across India, since 2019.
Designed, machined, assembled and tested in-house at our Bhosari, Pune facility. You deal with the engineers who build the machine, not a trading intermediary — which keeps lead times short and spares available for the working life of the machine.
Price & Quotation
Price depends on force, capacity, tooling, automation level and the component fixture, so a catalogue figure would be misleading. We quote against your actual part.
To receive a quotation, send us:
- Component drawing or sample details
- Material, thickness and joint or feature positions
- Target cycle time and production volume per shift
- Whether you need standalone, semi-automatic or fully inline operation
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a hydro-pneumatic press?
It uses compressed air acting on a larger piston to pressurise oil in a smaller cylinder, multiplying the force at the ram. You get hydraulic-level force from a normal air line, with no hydraulic power pack.
Pneumatic or hydro-pneumatic — which do I need?
Pneumatic suits lighter, faster work such as staking, marking and light press-fits. Hydro-pneumatic is for higher force per stroke where a purely pneumatic press would be marginal.
Can the press force be controlled?
Yes. Force is set by air pressure and the intensification ratio, and is repeatable stroke to stroke, which is what keeps press-fit depth consistent.
Do you build presses with custom tooling?
Yes. Tooling and component fixture are built to your part, so the press arrives ready to run on your component.
What is a press machine price in India?
Our press range is roughly ₹ 1.25 lakh to ₹ 1.75 lakh depending on force, frame and tooling. Prices are indicative and ex-works.
