Frequently Asked Questions

Blow feed or pick-up — which do I need?

Blow feed shoots the screw down a tube to the bit and is faster, but needs a screw at least twice as long as its head diameter. Pick-up collects the screw at a jaw and handles short screws, large heads and non-magnetic fasteners.

Can it detect a cross-threaded or missing screw?

With a transducer-equipped electric or servo driver, yes. Monitoring torque against angle through the run-down distinguishes a cross-thread, a stripped thread and a floating screw, and each can be rejected and logged. A pneumatic clutch driver cannot.

Is the bowl feeder screw-specific?

Yes. Bowl tooling is designed around your exact screw, so we need a sample or full drawing. A bowl tooled for one screw will not orient a different head style or length reliably.
